DevOps Consulting
DevOps consulting gets your code from a developer's laptop to production safely and repeatedly. Axynoxia builds CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes setups, infrastructure as code and monitoring, so tests run before every release and a deploy becomes routine. Each engagement has a fixed scope and price, and you receive the pipeline code and documentation.
What this includes
- •CI/CD pipelines that run tests and security scans before anything reaches production
- •Containers and Kubernetes for reproducible deployments
- •Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible
- •Monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana
Most delivery problems are not coding problems. They are the days lost to a manual
release, the bug that only appears in production, and the deploy script that lives
on one person’s laptop.
What is delivered
- A CI/CD pipeline. Every change is built and tested automatically. Code
quality scans and image vulnerability scans run before release.
- Containers. The application packaged so it runs the same way everywhere,
with Kubernetes when the system needs orchestration.
- Infrastructure as code. Servers and networks described in Terraform and
Ansible, so an environment can be rebuilt from the repository.
- Monitoring and alerts. Metrics in Prometheus, dashboards in Grafana and
alerts for conditions that need a person.
- Documentation, so your own team can run and change all of it.
How an engagement runs
- Review. We read how code reaches production today and where it breaks.
- Fixed scope and price. We list what will change and agree the price before
starting.
- Milestones. Pipeline first, then environments, then monitoring. Each
milestone is something you can run yourself.
- Handover. The pipeline code, the infrastructure code and a walk-through.
Work to look at
- A CI/CD hub built around Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus and Trivy.
- A DevOps-as-a-service platform with Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins carrying
out deployments on virtual machines or Kubernetes.
- Monitoring on Azure Stack Hub, with Python exporters, Prometheus and
Grafana, built for a Microsoft cloud partner.
These are listed in our founder’s portfolio.
For a product we run ourselves, see the energy platform.
Where the system runs is covered on the cloud infrastructure
page. If you also need the application built, see custom software development.
Common questions
What does a DevOps consultant actually do?
A DevOps consultant sets up the path that code takes to production: version control rules, automated builds and tests, deployment, and monitoring once it is live. The goal is releases that are small, frequent and uneventful.
Which tools do you work with?
Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus and Trivy for pipelines and scanning, containers and Kubernetes for running software, Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code, and Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring.
Can you improve a pipeline we already have?
Yes. We start by reading what exists, list what is slow, fragile or missing, and agree a fixed scope to fix those items. We do not replace tools that work.
Do we need Kubernetes?
Often not. A single well-run container host is enough for many systems. We recommend Kubernetes when you need what it provides, and we say so when you do not.
How do you price a DevOps engagement?
As a fixed scope and price agreed before work starts, with milestones you can test. At the end you receive the pipeline code, the infrastructure code and the documentation.
Can you run it for us afterwards?
Yes, if you want. The engineer who built the pipeline keeps operating it, or your team takes it over using the documentation.
